Mixing It Up: Using Multiple Platforms In One CMS for Assessments

Whether you are using a CMS, LMS, or some other 3 letter acronym to indicate the digital educational platform at your disposal, assessment will be a part of that "management system". In my case, the platform is Canvas. This is neither an endorsement nor a critique of the Canvas platform itself. It is simply a commentary on how we can use components of multiple platforms in one system. I have included a quick video to explain how Google Forms can be utilized within a Canvas page. This particular assessment is a quick quiz and exit ticket for a 6th Grade level Novel Unit. We can gather a wealth of formative information in just a few quick questions. The total average time it takes for students to complete this form is about ten minutes, but the information gathered will last the entire unit.
